Cable Tie Tool
Tyton Corporation"s power-assisted cable-tie tool tensions and cuts off a cable tie with just one trigger depression. The Mark 7 Electric combines efficiency of electric power with an ergonomic design. The power source for the unit can be plugged into a standard 110-V wall outlet. Tools for European conversions can be supplied. No compressed air is needed, eliminating the cost and potential inconvenience and inconsistency of using a pneumatic supply.
Coaxial Cable Stripper
The Eraser Company Inc offers Model 824 portable battery operated coaxial cable stripper with the new optional rapid charger and extended life battery. This is used for field installation of coaxial cable in the telecommunications industry and in installation of head ends in cable television companies. It uses a custom cutter head to strip coaxial cables from 0.030"to 0.430"OD. This unit is widely used by most major US telecom companies for installation of 734, 735, RG58, RG59, and HDTV cables used in central office installation and cable TV head-ends. It can also be used to strip up to 0.141"semi-rigid cables in microwave tower installations. The unit weighs only 2 lbs, operates with a rechargeable ni-cad battery or an AC power supply and can perform up to a 5 level strip in just 5 seconds. The optional rapid charger will recharge and recondition the ni-cad battery in under 90 minutes. The optional extended life will allow 30% more strips per charge. Model 824 tool is packaged in a plastic carrying case for portability and is ruggedly built for field use. A bench model 1246 is also available for in-house production.
